MRS Fall Meeting to Explore the Optimal Structuring of DTP Thermoelectric Material

We're pleased to announce our Chief Technology Officer, Doug Crane, PhD, will be giving an invited talk at the 2022 MRS Fall Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts. The symposium is called "Progress in Thermoelectrics — From Traditional to Novel Materials," and Doug's session will take place on Wednesday, November 30 from 8:15 to 8:45 AM EST at Back Bay A (Sheraton, 2nd floor). Doug will also chair a session later that afternoon at 1:30 p.m. EST.

Announcing Our New Patent for Thermoelectric Technology

We're excited to announce we've been awarded patent number 11,421,919 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The patent, called "Thermoelectric systems employing distributed transport properties to increase cooling and heating performance," describes thermoelectric systems based on our patented Distributed Transport Properties (DTP) approach to solid-state thermal management.

New Book Chapter Explores New Opportunities in Efficient TE Devices in Passenger Vehicles

We’re excited to announce that our Chief Technology Officer, Doug Crane, PhD, recently contributed a chapter, “Thermoelectric Applications in Passenger Vehicles,” to a new book entitled, Thermoelectric Energy Conversion: Theories and Mechanisms, Materials, Devices and Applications (2021). In it, Dr. Crane provides an overview of how thermoelectrics (TE) have been used in passenger vehicles in the past, what has limited their usage, and what can be done to enable broader usage in the future.
